  1. If this is the first time you are using "SysOpMaker", then you DON'T need
  2. to use the CONVERT program. This is for SysOp's that already have a list
  3. of BBS's going and don't want to hand edit the new list.

  5. Converts v1.0 - v1.4  to  v1.5 thru 2.1
  6. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7. Converting from v1.0 - v1.5  to  v2.1  Re-COPY all files to QUES directory.

  9. Quick start:
  10. ------------
  11. Copy the new SYSOPMKR.EXE, QUES0003.DAT & CONVERT.EXE files to your QUES 
  12. directory.
  13. Type:  CONVERT QUES0003.001      Then rename NEWQUES.NEW to QUES0003.001
  14. Run SYSOPMKR.BAT                             (output file)
  15. Delete CONVERT.EXE
  16. Done!

  19. Long Explanation:

  21. What you need to do to convert your OLD QUES00xx.001 to the NEW QUES00xx.001
  22.  
  23. Make a backup copy of your OLD QUES0003.001 file... put it away.
  24.                               (number I use)

  26. Place the program "CONVERT.EXE" in your C:\WC30\QUES   "QUES"  directory.
  27. Where the OLD "QUES00xx.001" file is.
  28.  
  29. Then... Start the program like this:

  31. CONVERT QUES0003.001    -    (or whatever # you gave it)
  32.  
  33. Your new output listing is called NEWQUES.NEW  rename it to QUES0003.001
  34. Then rerun SYSOPMKR.BAT and check it for corrections... there shouldn't
  35. be any though.

  37. You will notice the new output is a little larger, this is for the
  38. spacing on the questionnair.

  40. You may change the colors or wording in QUES0003.DAT to your liking!
  41. But NOT the order or size!!!!   (use MAKEQUES.EXE)
  42. Delete CONVERT.EXE
  43.  
  44. Also... I have it as a 12:15a event on my BBS.. change this to your
  45. event time.
